Finally, a gluten-free, low-glycemic baking mix that isn’t excessively loaded with fuel. The problem with most gluten-free baking blends is that they are usually too high in either carbs or fat. Treats made with these can still come with a waistline price tag unless you eat tiny portions. And who wants to do that? We were determined to create a blend that is not only gentle on blood sugar but also gentle on calories. Now there is plenty of room to slather some butter on your muffin and indulge in more than a morsel of brownies.

In keeping with the Trim Healthy Mama core value of centering food around protein, our Baking Blend contains this important blood sugar-stabilizing nutrient in the form of collagen peptides. This glycine-rich form of protein is alarmingly missing from the modern diet. Our blend also contains disease-fighting lignans and satisfies any hungry tummy with large amounts of insoluble fiber. The small amount of fat contains a higher percentage of Omega 3 versus Omega 6 fats which helps to balance the modern diet which is usually too high in Omega 6 fatty acids.

    I really love using this and its so convenient. What is the shelf life? The bags I have purchased are now open and I don’t see a shelf life on either of them? Im concerned with the Almond flour it could go rancid once opened and not refrigerated. I have it now in an air-tight container.

      The shelf life for the Baking Blend is one year. If you are concerned, it might be a good idea to keep it in your freezer which will lengthen the shelf life.

    What is the conversion to use this in my recipes to replace white flour?

      Any time we try to convert from one type of flour to another there is a bit of trial and error. Baking blend is specially formulated to work specifically with our own recipes however many have successfully converted their own recipes with it. Baking Blend is a thirsty flour, requiring more liquid than almond flour but is less thirsty than say coconut flour and oat fiber. It’s suggested to start by subbing 1/2 cup baking blend if a regular wheat flour recipe says 1 cup, although there is no set in stone approach. You have to play with it a bit depending on the recipe in question.

    I’ve followed the THM and low carb lifestyle for years. My biggest issue has always been mitigating my sweet tooth. I didn’t like the texture of baked goods with almond flour, and coconut flour left everything tasting like coconut. While it’s taken some practice to get the ratios right, THM baking blend is by far my fave. My keto double chocolate zucchini bread breakfast wouldn’t be possible without it!

    I just want to say THANK YOU!! I found out recently I was diabetic so I went on a low carb no sugar diet.     Very disappointed with this flour. Got it for Christmas and was trying to make pancakes. I couldn’t find a receipe that used this mix (even looking on the THM site- you should have one!) so I used one I’ve used before. It was all around disappointing, we needed up not eating any of them. What actual receipe do you recommend?

    The flour tasted stale, how do I know it hasn’t expired? There is no expiry date on the bag and I can’t seem to find information about it.

    This was my first experience with THM, and it wasn’t great which I am sad about.

    I used your baking mix for the first time today. I made pancakes with my favorite recipe following the instructions completely. The result was less than stellar. I was disappointed in the consistency and the pancakes did not taste done. Soft and gooey. The flavor was good, but my family has texture issues. Please help me know what I am doing that is not correct. Or is this a matter of using different types of flour. I truly want to learn to implement new skills and products.

    New to the THM Community and plan I was a bit hesitant on this baking blend! Oh, my word was I so wrong! It is absolutely wonderful! Not only did this blend meet my expectations it exceeded them by leaps and bounds! It is apparent that great time, thought and love went into creating this beautiful product = Quality. Simply put, I adore this product.

    NOTE: I have only used this product with THM and THM community recipes. I have not tried it in any of my standard American recipes. Who needs those anymore anywho : )
